CERTIFICATE OF IDENTITY (SAP)
PURPOSE
The Certificate of Identity (SAP) is a travel document issued to permanent residents who do not possess the citizenship status of any country (stateless). ‘Stateless Person’ means an individual who does not have a citizenship or nationality recognized by law under any country. The Certificate of Identity can only be issued if these conditions are met:-
1. A Confirmation Letter from the Embassy office of the applicant’s country of origin stating that the applicant has never been issued a passport and the applicant also has no right of claim as a citizen of their country of origin.
2. Submit a statutory declaration / self-declaration stating that if the applicant is found to possess the citizenship of any country, the issued Certificate of Identity will be withdrawn and the Government of Malaysia can revoke the permanent resident status of the applicant. - • Two (2) pieces of photos measuring 3.5 cm X 5 cm with a white background
- • Form IMM.45
PAYMENT:
RM500.00 , extension for one (1) year RM100.00
VALIDITY PERIOD:
Five (5) years from the date of issue.
