Applicant (Residing in Malaysia)

Applicant (Staying in Malaysia)

  1. APEC application form
  2. Copy of Malaysian passport (passport validity period exceeds 3 years)
  3. Photocopy of identity card
  4. 1 -piece passport size photo (blue background)
  5. Letter of application from the company with confirmation of the applicant;
    • Name, date of birth, identity card number and passport
    • Positions in the company
    • Justification of APEC Business Travel Card application
    • Applicant’s job description
  6. Letter of support from the relevant Regulatory Agency
  7. Letter of authority for a representative from the company if the applicant is unable to attend.

Applicant (Residing Outside Malaysia)

  1. APEC application form
  2. Copy of Malaysian passport (passport validity period exceeds 3 years)
  3. Photocopy of identity card
  4. 1 -piece passport size photo (blue background)
  5. Letter of application from the company with confirmation of the applicant;
    • Name, date of birth, identity card number and passport
    • Positions in the company
    • Justification of APEC Business Travel Card application
    • Applicant’s job description
  6. Letter of support from the relevant Regulatory Agency
  7. Copy of Work Permit or Permanent Resident Card
  8. Letter of authority for a representative from the company if the applicant is unable to attend.

APEC Business Travel Card Application

Please submit a completed application for an APEC Business Travel Card to:

The APEC Unit, Visa, Pass and Permit Division, Malaysian Immigration Department will issue:

  1. The application number as a reference with ‘RECEIVE’ status after the application is processed and the applicant’s data is entered into the ABTC System.

  2. Application review can be made through:
    https: //www.abtc- aps.org/abtc- core/status/check.html .

  3. The application number will be provided to the applicant through the appointed regulatory agencies or by e- mail.

Applicants representing any individual please submit:

  1. Letter of authority/ representative from the company
  2. Copy of representative’s identity card

Process and Payment Period

Payment of RM100.00 by e-Payment (debit/credit card) for each card withdrawal.

Processing time:

  1. Application for a new APEC Business Travel Card ; or
  2. Application re after expiry of the period Travel Card PerniagaanAPEC; and
  3. Depending on the pre-clearance process of all APEC economies participating in the ABTC Scheme, a minimum of (3-6) months or more.

Application for printing APEC Business Travel Card is as follows:

Card printing process time:

  1. One (1) working day.
  2. Reprint of APEC Business Travel Card due to:
    • Replacement card is missing
    • Replacement due to exchange of passport
    • Photo replacement.

In case of loss of APEC card, please submit:

  1. Formal application letter from the company;
  2. A copy of the police report to local or overseas (must be translated into Malay / English).
