Entry Permit is a permit issued to a foreigner wishes to enter and reside in Malaysia. The holder of an Entry Permit will not be required to apply for any pass on employment or other purposes.

 

Issuance of Entry Permit is not a right but a privilege for a foreigner and subject to the discretion of the Government of Malaysia.



Terms and Conditions


A foreigner may apply for an Entry Permit by submitting an application to the nearest State Immigration Office.

 

Every application must be sponsored by a Malaysian citizen except for foreign wives, application must be submitted by their husband. Documents required are as stated below:

  • A copy of applicant's passport (Wife) with proof of 1st entry into Malaysia to-date.
  • A copy of husband's passport if the marriage is solemnized abroad.
  • A copy of Sponsor's Identification Card and Citizenship Certificate (if available/if the sponsor is not a husband to the applicant)
  • A copy of Birth certificate/Passport/travel document of children of the applicant (if available)
  • A copy of Death Certificate /Divorce Certificate /Registration certificate of previous marriage)
  • A copy of Marriage Certificate in country of origin (if available)
  • A copy of Birth Certificate, Identity Card and husband 's Citizenship Certificate (if available)
  • For Islamic Couple, a copy of marriage certificate certified by Islamic Religious Department in Malaysia(if married abroad)
  • For non Islamic Couple, a copy of Form K (if married abroad)
  • Children of Malaysian below 6 years old
  • Form IMM.4
  • 3 passport size photo (child)
  • 1 passport size photo (father/mother of Applicant)
  • A copy of Birth Certificate ( Child)
  • A copy of Passport/Travel Document Applicant (Child)
  • A copy of Marriage Certificate (Father/Mother)
  • A copy of Divorce Certificate and Custodial order from the Court (if parent are divorced)
  • A copy of Death Certificate (if relevant)
  • A copy of Birth Certificate/Identification Card and Citizenship Certificate of father/mother. (if father or mother is a Malaysian Citizen)
  • A copy of Birth Certificate/Passport/ Travel Document of applicant's sibling(if available)
  • All ORIGINAL documents to be verified by the officer upon submission.

    Fees:

     

    Payment of RM120.00 upon approval

     

    Those who are not eligible to apply:

     

    Foreign workers holding visit passes(temporary employment) including foreign domestic helper and participants of Malaysia My Second Home Program.
