VISIT PASS (PROFESSIONAL)

Visit Pass (Professional) are issued to foreign nationals who wish to remain and provide specific professional visit for a short period in Malaysia.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURES/ CONDITIONS

  1. Applications should be submitted by a sponsor in Malaysia prior to the entry of the applicant into the country.
  2. The validity of the pass is subjected to the requirement and conditions of Immigration rules and policies for a period not exceeding 12 months.
  3. Application for a Visit Pass (Professional) to undergo training at a factory or hotel only applicable for a period not exceeding six months.

VISIT PASS (PROFESSIONAL) SHALL BE SUBJECTED FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:

1.OTHER EXPERTS / VOLUNTEERS

  1. Jockey
  2. Volunteer
  3. International students under industrial training/ mobility program in universities/ Colleges/ private/ public schools/ Embassies/ Hotel/ Company
  4. The experts who have specialized skills that are considered suitable by the Director General of Immigration, Malaysia

2.FILMING AND PERFORMANCE BY FOREIGN ARTISTES


Visit Pass (Professional) are issued to foreign nationals who wish to apply as Artist, Film Producer and Promoter includes the following purposes:

1.

Stage Artists

:

singing, music, dance, concerts, theatre, circus, acrobatics, martial arts, magic and the promotion and opera artist (Buddhist, Hindu and other opera)

2.

Non-artists

:

With expertise in arts management and screen-related arts.

3.

Producer

:

Players, trainers or participants in filming.

4.

Filming

:

Interviews, documentaries, fiction, entertainment and filming commercials or other forms made in the country by film company from overseas.

5.

Performance

:

performance in the hotel, entertainment, commercial premises, cultural centers, stadiums and places it deems appropriate

6.

Activities involving the performance in the open or closed place, album promotion, movie actors/actresses and also the promotion of goods or products, except alcohol and tobacco products

The applications shall be made to:

 2.1          FILMING AND PERFORMANCE OF FOREIGN ARTISTES (PUSPAL)

The application for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes should be forwarded to Central Agency for Filming and Performance by Foreign Artistes (PUSPAL) for coordination and approval. However, the issuance of visa / visit pass are subject to terms and regulation under the Department of Immigration. For more details please visit: https://epuspal.kkmm.gov.my.

2.2          FILMING (FINAS)

Application for filming and other equivalent related matters should obtain a supporting letter or otherwise from FINAS.

3.1       Visit Pass (Professional) for foreign nationals who wish to apply for the following positions:

ü    Islamic Teacher (Include Imam)

ü    Al-Quran Teacher

ü    Arabic Teacher

 3.2         Visit Pass (Professional) for foreign nationals who wish to attend Islamic studies in Malaysia as follows:

ü    Islamic Studies 18 years old and above

CONDITIONS

  1. The new application should be made from outside Malaysia (except for extension of Visit Pass (Professional)
  2. Applications should be submitted by the Employer / Sponsor / School in Malaysia at least one month before the teaching / learning begins

 4.PRACTIONERS / OTHER RELIGIOUS WORKERS


Visit Pass (Professional) for foreign nationals who wish to apply as a Gurukkal (Hindu), Granthi (Sikh), Priest, Guru Dharma, Religious Musicians and Sculptors.


CONDITIONS

  1. The new application should be made from outside Malaysia (except for extension of Visit Pass (Professional)).
  2. The maximum period allowed to serve in this country is three (3) years.
  3. Age:
  • 40 years for the Hindu monk (Expatriate Gurukkal), Sami Sikh (Granthi), Dharma Teachers and Priests
  • 35 years for religious Musicians
  • 30 years for religious Sculptors

iv.Applications must be submitted by the Employer / Sponsor / Temple / Church in Malaysia at least one month prior to perform as professional practitioner in the related fill.

v.Approvals are based on decision made by a Special Committee of the Visit Pass (Professional), Immigration Department of Malaysia and other related agencies (JK-PLIK).
