 MISSION

 

To achieve quality service of a level which enhance public confidence in their dealings with the department.

 

OBJECTIVE

1.    To ensure the presence of foreigners will not disturb the harmony and security of the country;

2.    To ensure the presence of foreigners will not harm the job opportunity, industry, business, welfare, education and the harmony of Malaysian.

 

FUNCTION

1.    To provide an efficient and effective service in the issuance of Visa and Pass to foreigner.

2.    To provide an efficient and effective service in the issuance of Permit to foreigner who intend to stay permanently in Malaysia.

3.    To issue Certificate of Status to Malaysian. 

 

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

 

Social Visit Pass Unit

Responsible on the acceptance and process of extension application for foreign visitors long and short term Social Visit Pass  

 

Student Pass Unit

Responsible on the acceptance and process of new and extension pass application for foreign students.

 

Professional Visit Pass Unit

Responsible on the acceptance and process of new and extension Professional Visit pass application for technical experts who perform specific task(s) for the short term in Malaysia. 

 

Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Unit

Issuance of Social Visit Pass for approved foreigner under MM2H program.

 

Entry Permit and Certificate of Status Unit

Handle Entry Permit application for qualified foreigners to enter and remain in Malaysia and Certificate of Status application for claimant as a citizen of Malaysia.

  

APEC Unit

Handle issuance of APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) as the continuity of the Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) initiative in creating wider economic cooperation in Asian Pacific region.

 

Inspectorate

Carrying Inspection on the application details and reality of application related to Visa, Pass and Permit facilities to clear ambiguity and at the same time strengthening decision making.
