OBJECTIVE
1. To ensure the presence of foreigners managed and controlled efficiently and in accordance with the Immigration Act 1959/63 (2002 amendment), Passport Act 1966, Immigration Regulations 1963, other related laws and regulations and government policy on Immigration matters for the sake of national security.
2. To manage passport/travel document issuance to Citizen and Permanent Residence of Malaysia in accordance with the related laws and regulations.
FUNCTIONS
1. To provide an efficient and effective service in the issuance of passports and other travel documents to Malaysian and Permanent Resident.
2. To control and facilitate the entry and exit of Malaysian, Permanent Resident and foreign nationals to/from Malaysia.
3. To prevent the entry and presence of undesirable foreign nationals who had contravened the Immigration laws.
QUALITY POLICY
To ensure the standard of issuing Malaysian Passport achieves the international standard with continuing value added services and at the same time, to ensure the exit/entry of Malaysian nationals and foreigners are at par with the control and security standard in accordance with the Immigration Department.
ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
Control Unit
· To monitor and control movements the entry and exit of Malaysian, Permanent Resident and foreign nationals at all authorized points of entry.
· To manage and gazette entry points.
Security Unit
· To control suspect list data centre
· To manage issuance and verification security endorsement
· To manage Jerusalem (Baitulmuqadis) special endorsement
· To manage classified and special case
Passport unit
· To control issuance passport/travel document to Malaysian and Permanent Resident
Attaché Unit
· To manage and supervise attaché activities
