Immigration Department Electronic Application System (IDEAS)

 

Overview

 

This system enables the clients/public to submit the new application to employ a foreign domestic helper to Immigration Department.

 

Renewal of the Visit Pas (Temporary Employment) of the domestic helper can also be done through this IDEAS SYSTEM.

 

Objective

 

To provide services in line with the department's vision i.e TOWARDS A WORLD CLASS IMMIGRATION SERVICE.

 

Scope

 

The system covers all processes involved in the application for visa and pass of the foreign domestic helper.

 

Registered agency can submit their application on-line through the official website of Immigration Department.

Method to use this system

 

To access this facility, the user (registered agency) should get their User ID and Password from the Foreign Worker Division, Foreign Domestic Helper Unit, Immigration Department.

 

Then follow the instruction below:

 

  • Registered Agency
  • Login
  • Change your password
  • Submit New Application
  • Submit Renewal Application
  • Check Employer's Information
  • Check Domestic Helper's Information
  • Submit new employer's information for registration

 

 

 

How The System Process The Application

 

All information received will be stored in the Immigration database.  In cases where the applicant's info are hanged, a message will pop-up on the user's screen.

 

Please follow the instruction given on the screen.  Immigration will process the application.

 

Employer or the registered agency is required to come over to the nearest Immigration office within 1 month from the date of application submitted together with the following documents:

 

 

To get the "Visa Granted On Arrival (VGOA)"

To get Sticker

Minumum hardware required

 

Personal computer with internet access with minimum specification as stated below:

 

 

 

 

i) Hardwares

  • Pentium II 200 mhz
  • RAM 64 Mb
  • Modem 56 kbs
  • Scanner (to scan the photo)

 

ii) Software

  • Internet Browser (IE 5.0,Netscape 4.0 or higher)
  • Image scanning

Image / Photo must be formatted as below

  • Format File JPEG
  • 300 dpi
  • Dimension 4cm x 5cm
  • Size not exceeding 18 kb
