1.  FUNCTIONS

    1. Issuance of Visa, Pass and Permit to foreigners who enter Malaysia;
    2. Issue entry permit to foreign nationals who wish to reside in Malaysia;
    3. Issue the Certificate of Status to any person who qualifies as a citizen of Malaysia

2.  OBJECTIVES

    1. Ensure that the admission of foreigners into Malaysia does not pose a threat to national security and public order and 
    2. Ensure that the foreigner who wishes to stay temporarily in this country does not affect Malaysians in terms of harmonious living and employment, enterprise, welfare and education opportunities.

3.  MISSION
