  New Zealand's Working Holiday Programme
  • Holders of New Zealand Passport who are at present residing in New Zealand for more than six (6) months are eligible to apply for a working holiday programme in Malaysia.
     
    Conditions Procedure
  • Intended primarily to holiday in Malaysia.
  • Age between eighteen (18) and thirty (30).
  • No children accompanied
  • Passport with remaining validity at least six (6) months
  • Possess sufficient funds of a minimum amount of RM 3,600.00 in cash, traveler’s cheques or bank drafts for the maintenance during the period of stay in Malaysia.
  • Medical report by any qualified doctor in New Zealand.
  • Workman Compensation Insurance policy from any of the Malaysian Insurance Companies.
  • The designated entry and departure for all visitors will be Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Sepang.
  • Applicant will be issued with a Visit Pass (social) for period of not more than six (6) months. Extension will not be granted.
  • Return or onwards air ticket required.
  • Application may be submitted to the Malaysian High Commission in Wellington at least three (3) months prior to the applicant’s entry into Malaysia. The requirements are:

  • - Form WH 1
    - Form IMM 12 (2 copies)
    - 2 passport sized photographs
    - Medical report using form WH II.
    - Photocopy of applicant’s passport(all pages).
