INTRODUCTION

The Department of  Immigration Malaysia performs an important role of managing immigration matters in accordance with national’s interest.

This department  is under the auspicious of Ministry Of Home Affairs which comprises The Department of National Registration, Film Censorship Board, Registrar Of Society, Royal Police of Malaysia, Department of Prison Malaysia , National Anti-Drugs Agency, Department of Civil Defense and Peoples’ Volunteer Corps (RELA).

OBJECTIVE

To manage Immigration affairs in accordance with national interests

FUNCTIONS

1. To provide an efficient and effective service in the issuance of passports and other travel documents.

2. To facilitate Immigration services to foreign nationals entering and exiting Malaysia

3. To prevent the entry and presence of undesirable foreign nationals who had contravened the Immigration laws.

4.  To eradicate activities which contravene the Immigration Act, Passport Act, and Immigration Regulations.
