  • What is the application system about?
    The system provides internet access to meet the needs of the general public which regularly deals with the Department of Immigration for their new applications, extension of Pass for Foreign Domestic Helpers. All applications can now be done using IDEAS System.

  • Objective
    To provide services which fulfil the vision of the Department, which is "WORLD CLASS SERVICE"

  • Scope of Implementation
    It encompasses all new application process and extension process for foreign domestic helpers' visas and passes. Registered agencies may submit their applications on-line via the website.

  • Advantages of the System
    - Simplifies submission of applications
    - Cost effective
    - Time saving

  • Procedures
    To access the facilities provided, a user (registered agency) must obtain the user ID and password from the Immigration Department Foreign Domestic Helpers, Foreign Worker Division. The user may then access as follows:-
    Registed Agencies
  • Login
  • Change user password
  • Send new applications
  • Send application for renewal
  • Check employer's particulars
  • Check particulars of foreign domestic helpers
  • Send information on the new employer for purpose of registration
     
  • How does the system process applications?
    All information received will be stored in the Immigration database. If the sending of the user's information is blocked, a message will be displayed on the user screen. The user must follow the given instructions. The Immigration Department will process the applications. The employer or registered agency must be present at the Immigration Department within one month from the date of submission of application, with the following items:-
     
    To Obtain a Visa On Arrival (VGOA) To Obtain a Sticker
    Foreign Domestic Helper
  • Items which must be sent
    -Personal Bond
    -Payment
  • Documents to be verified
    -Marriage Certificate
    -Medical Report of Family Members
    (if necessary)
    -Birth Certificate of Children
    -Form J/ Proof of Income
       
  • For new application
    -Passport
  • For Extension of Passes
    -Passport
    -List of Payment
    -Payment

    Minimum Requirements

    • Personal computer with Internet connection and with minimum specifications as below:

    Hardware

    • Pentium II 200 mhz
    • 64 Mb RAM
    • 56 kbs modem
    • Scanner (for photo scanning)

    Software

    • Internet Browser (IE 5.0,Netscape 4.0 or higher)
    • Image scanning

    Notes:

    Image/photo format must be in:

    • JPEG in file format
    • 300 dpi
    • 4cm x 5cm in dimension
    • Size not exceeding 18 kb
